How we review

This page explains how RudrAAAksh researches, compares and selects jewellery sellers and products, and how each article tells you where its facts come from.

How we research

Our articles are based on published sources:

  • sellers’ product pages, return and exchange policies, and builder options;
  • laboratories’ own websites and report-verification pages;
  • standards and official sources, such as BIS hallmarking rules;
  • reference works such as GIA’s gem encyclopedia.

Every article states its research method under the headline. Facts such as prices, return terms, builder options and laboratory services are cited to their sources, with the date we checked them, so you can verify them yourself. If an article ever reports hands-on examination of a product, it will say so and describe what was done.

What we assess

When we compare sellers, we use the same criteria for each one:

  1. Identity and treatment disclosure. Is each stone or bead named, and are treatments such as dyeing or heating stated?
  2. Verifiable documentation. Is there a laboratory report from a named laboratory, with a number you can check on the laboratory’s own website?
  3. Specifications. Are size, weight, origin and metal purity stated?
  4. Price transparency. Is the full price shown before checkout?
  5. Returns and after-sales. Are return, exchange and remake terms clear, especially for custom pieces?
  6. Contact and support. Can you reach a real person before and after buying?

Where a seller’s pages do not answer a criterion, we say “not found” rather than “no”.

Selections, not star ratings

We do not give star ratings or overall scores. Our homepage selections are choices for different needs, each explaining why it was chosen and who it suits. They are not a single league table.

Claims we do not make

We do not present health, healing, astrological or spiritual benefits of Rudraksha, gemstones or crystals as fact. Where these beliefs are discussed, they are attributed to the traditions they come from.

Commercial relationships

Any commercial relationship with a brand in an article (sponsorship, affiliate links, free products or ownership) is disclosed at the top of that article. Payment can never buy a place in a comparison or change a conclusion. See our Disclosures.

Updates

Prices and policies change. We re-check the seller facts in our comparison and builder articles regularly, and at least monthly for prices. An “Updated” date appears only when facts, prices or conclusions were actually re-checked. To report an error, see our Corrections policy.
