This policy explains what personal data RudrAAAksh (rudraaaksh.com) collects, why, and your choices. Last updated: 11 October 2026 (analytics consent added).

What we collect
- Analytics (Google Analytics 4), only with your consent. When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Google Analytics is not loaded unless you choose Accept, or enable Analytics under Preferences. If you consent, it records pages viewed, time on page, links clicked (including links to sellers), device and browser type, approximate location, and how you arrived, for example from a search engine. It uses cookies such as `_ga` and processes your IP address. Advertising features, Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off. Google acts as our service provider; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Reader reviews. If you submit a review of RudrAAAksh, we store the name you enter and your review text. We use your IP address briefly to prevent spam; it is not stored with your review.
- Emails you send us. If you email us, we keep your message and email address to reply and to keep a record of corrections.
- Server and security logs. Our hosting provider (Hostinger) keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser and pages requested, for security and reliability.
- Hosting tools. Pages load a script from our host’s marketing service (Hostinger Reach). We do not currently run newsletter sign-ups through it.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not run advertising on the site.
Cookies and your choices
- Necessary: a record of your cookie choice is kept in your browser’s local storage for 180 days, so the banner does not reappear on every page.
- Analytics (optional): Google Analytics cookies such as `_ga`, set only after you consent.
- Change your mind at any time: use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, the Google Analytics cookies are deleted and analytics stops.
- Logged-in site editors are never tracked. Our caching system may set technical cookies for logged-in editors only.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, or use Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
How long we keep data
- Google Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Analytics account.
- Reviews are kept while they are published.
- Emails are kept as long as needed to deal with your enquiry or correction.
Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and similar laws, you may ask to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or withdraw consent where it applies. Email rudraakshindia@gmail.com. We aim to reply within 7 days.
