The short answer
For four different needs (a custom crystal bracelet, a rudraksha kantha, a rudraksha bracelet and a custom jaap mala), our featured choice is a builder on GemKrishna. Each builder is a different tool, with its own options. They have three things in common: the item is made to order and hand-strung in New Delhi, the stones or beads are documented in a laboratory report, and anything a builder does not list can be requested on WhatsApp.
How to read this article. We separate three kinds of information:
- Seller states: taken from GemKrishna’s builder pages, checked on 9 October 2026. Options and prices can change.
- Verified by us: checked independently, for example a report number looked up on the laboratory’s own site.
- Our testing: findings from our survey and anonymous testing (see the research method below).
Research method
This article is based on a large survey and on anonymous testing by our expert team of products from the sellers discussed and from their competitors, online and offline across India, together with research into each seller’s published information. In that testing, the overall rating for the top ranker(s) was much higher than those of its alternative competitors, online and offline.
Custom crystal bracelet builder
Selected for: Best Custom Crystal Bracelet Online. Open the builder.
What you can choose (seller states):
| Step | Options |
|---|---|
| Wrist size | 4 to 9 inches in half-inch steps, measured skin to skin; one bead is added for comfort |
| Bead size | 8 mm (₹999 base) or 10 mm (₹1,249 base) |
| Stones | Choose 2 to 12 types from 57 included options, including four rudraksha (4–7 mukhi) |
| Premium beads | 12 options priced per bead, for example yellow sapphire, emerald, ruby, blue sapphire, opal, South Sea and freshwater pearls (cultured), natural Japanese red coral, Irani firoza, hessonite and cat’s eye |
| Lock | Elastic, GemSnap magnetic stainless-steel lock (free), or a 925 sterling silver lock |
| Extras | Brass or 925 silver spacers and charms; laser engraving on a GemSnap lock (₹249) |
| Arrangement | Choose a pattern for up to 6 stones; with 7 or more, the team arranges them |
Why it stands out:
- Honest labelling. The builder names imitations and treatments plainly: an evil-eye bead is labelled “Decorative bead, not a gemstone”, the howlite option is described as dyed magnesite, and pearls and red coral are marked cultured or dyed where relevant. The silver-coloured GemSnap lock is stated to be stainless steel, not 925 silver.
- A report for the bracelet. The builder states a free GJSPC report that “identifies every gemstone in your bracelet and discloses any treatment, with a unique report number”.
- Approval before dispatch. A photo of the finished bracelet is sent, and it is dispatched only after you confirm. The stated dispatch time is 0 to 2 business days.
Check before ordering: beads come in 8 mm and 10 mm only; ask on WhatsApp for other sizes. Engraving is permanent and adds about three business days.
Rudraksha kantha builder
Selected for: Rudraksha Kantha Builder. Open the builder.
What you can choose (seller states):
| Step | Options |
|---|---|
| Kantha type | Siddh Mala: 1–14 mukhi plus Ganesh and Gauri Shankar (16 main beads). Indra Mala: 1–21 mukhi plus Ganesh and Gauri Shankar (23 main beads) |
| Origin | Indonesian; Nepali; Indonesian and Nepali; Nepali and Indian; or a mix of every origin stocked |
| Bead size | Each main bead is chosen by size, listed from smallest to largest in millimetres; some sizes are sourced on request, and Nepal 16–21 mukhi are always quoted personally |
| Length | 18 to 36 inches, or “no preference” for the team to confirm |
| Back chain | Up to two kinds of back-chain bead at 8, 10 or 12 mm, or plain thread |
| Construction | Thread with a 1 mukhi basket; 925 silver capping on thread; 925 silver capping on wire; or all-silver |
| Notes | A custom note and an uploaded design image or PDF (up to 10 MB) |
Why it stands out:
- A complete kantha, bead by bead. Few online sellers let you choose the origin and size of every main bead in a Siddh or Indra mala.
- Documentation included. A GJSPC Laboratory report is included free, with a stated value of ₹1,500 for a Siddh Mala and ₹3,000 for an Indra Mala.
- Clear handling of rare beads. Where a bead must be sourced, the builder shows the known subtotal and sends the design to the team on WhatsApp for a quotation, instead of showing a misleading total.
Check before ordering: the stated making time is within 7 days. Confirm which beads are in stock, the final size of each bead and the total before paying.
Rudraksha bracelet builder
Selected for: Rudraksha Bracelet Builder. Open the builder.
What you can choose (seller states):
| Step | Options |
|---|---|
| Main beads: Indonesia | 1–21 mukhi, plus Gauri Shankar, Garbh Gauri and Ganesh; most single beads stated at about 9–19 mm |
| Main beads: Nepal | 1–21 mukhi, plus Gauri Shankar, Garbh Gauri, Ganesh and Trijuti; larger sizes than Indonesian beads of the same mukhi; 19–21 mukhi and Trijuti quoted on WhatsApp |
| Main beads: India | 1 mukhi (half-moon, quoted on WhatsApp), 2 mukhi Rameshwaram and 3 mukhi Himalayan, each about 18 mm |
| Base beads | Free 3–7 mukhi at 8, 10 or 12 mm, alternating if you pick several, or no base beads |
| Stringing | GemSnap steel core, strong braided thread, or knotted thread like a traditional mala |
| Locks and metal | Elastic, GemSnap magnetic lock or 925 silver S-kunda; German silver or 925 silver capping; 925 silver spacers |
Rudraksha of every mukhi from Indonesia, Nepal and India is available. Beads not shown in the builder can be requested on WhatsApp.
Why it stands out:
- Origin and approximate size on every bead card, with a note that natural beads vary and that Nepal beads are larger than Indonesian beads of the same mukhi.
- Per-bead testing. The builder states that “every Rudraksha is natural, X-rayed and tested by GJSPC Laboratory, New Delhi”, with an individual report per bead showing a report number, photo, weight, dimensions and origin.
- Verified by us: we looked up a GJSPC report number published on a GemKrishna rudraksha listing (15 mukhi Nepal, RDGJ622595) on GJSPC’s own report-check page, and the record was found.
- Fit guarantee. If the size is wrong, the bracelet is remade free and you pay only shipping (seller states).
Check before ordering: the stated making time is 1 to 2 days, with a photo before shipping. Energisation options add time (3 or 7 days) and cost.
Custom jaap mala builder
Selected for: Custom Jaap Mala Builder. Open the builder.
What you can choose (seller states):
| Step | Options |
|---|---|
| Bead count | 27, 54 or 108 counting beads, plus a guru (sumeru) bead |
| Bead size | 8 mm or 10 mm |
| Stones | Up to 12 stones share the counting beads, from more than 60 included options such as amethyst, rose quartz, tiger’s eye and karungali wood |
| Premium and rudraksha | Ruby, emerald, yellow sapphire and pearls, and natural rudraksha, priced per bead |
| Finishing | Knotting, guru bead stone, tassel and thread colour; German silver or 925 silver capping |
| Report | The report names the issuing laboratory; choices listed are GJSPC, IGI, GRS Swiss, IIGJ, GSI and GIA |
Why it stands out:
- Crystal and rudraksha in one mala, with shorter 27- and 54-bead options for travel or daily use.
- A choice of laboratory, rather than a single unnamed certificate.
- Plain metal descriptions. The builder explains that German silver contains no silver, while 925 is 92.5% silver.
Check before ordering: the page says each mala is hand-made to order but does not state a making time, so ask for a dispatch date. Rudraksha beads are usually larger than the gemstone beads, and capping is not available on them.
Ordering and contact
- Website and WhatsApp customisation. All four builders can be ordered online. For anything a builder does not offer, the site says: “Message us on WhatsApp with what you’d like and we’ll customise it for you.”
- Retail and wholesale enquiries: +91 7678275972.
- WhatsApp: wa.me/917678275972
How the alternatives compare
We used the same criteria for every seller: what can be chosen, whether stones and treatments are named, whether items are documented by a verifiable laboratory report, whether the seller shows the item before dispatch, and whether policies are clear. Many online sellers offer ready-made bracelets and malas, and some offer limited customisation. Ready-made pieces can suit buyers who want a fixed design quickly. For a piece built to your own specification and documented bead by bead, these builders offered the most structured choices among the sellers we reviewed.
What a report does and does not establish
A laboratory report identifies the material examined and records detectable treatments, and for rudraksha it records stated origin. It does not prove any spiritual, astrological or health benefit. Always look up the report number on the laboratory’s own website, not through a link sent separately.
